An independent Charity created by the Masonic Province of East Kent

 

Association Objectives
 
The objects of the association are;
1. The relief of poverty of children and the elderly
2. The advancement of education
3. The care of the sick and the elderly, and
4. To support and further such charitable purposes as the Management Committee shall in their absolute discretion determine.
 
In furtherance of these objects but not otherwise the Association shall have the following powers:


a. Encourage Masonic Brethren and others to subscribe money more freely for Charitable purposes;


b. Assist the Masonic Lodges in the Province of East Kent to stimulate interest in and collect money for recognised Masonic Charities or other institutions or societies established for exclusively Charitable purposes which may be nominated by the Donor as hereinafter provided;


c. Accept and administer legacies to Masonic Charities. To raise funds from its Members or other persons by way of donation or otherwise (provided that it shall not undertake any permanent trading activities in raising funds for its charitable objects) and to do such other lawful things as shall further that object.


d. Raise funds from its members or other persons by way of donation or otherwise provided that the Association shall not undertake any permanent trading activities in raising funds for the said objects.


e. Do all such lawful things as are necessary for the achievements of the said objects.

To provide a safe haven for Charitable funds held by members.


To enable Lodges and Chapters to maximise the interest earned.


To recover Gift Aid tax rebates on behalf of members.


To accept and administer legacies to Masonic Charities.


To channel funds to Charities selected by members.
 
Funds managed on behalf of Lodges, Chapters and other Masonic organisations, individual brethren and other Charities.
