Introduction
A message from the Provincial Grand Charity Steward.
Welcome to the charity pages of the Province of East Kent’s website. These
pages provide general information on charitable activities within the Province
and are intended for both masonic and non-masonic visitors. It is hoped that
you find the information here both interesting and useful. General news of
charitable events in the Province is available
here.
Freemasons are taught to practise charity, not just among themselves, but also
in the community as a whole. Charity encompasses charitable giving, voluntary
efforts and work as individuals.
The organisation of charity at Provincial level is in the remit of the
Provincial Charity Committee, assisted by the area chairmen, who are the first
point of contact for charity stewards and brethren. If Charity Stewards
require any assistance, information or support they should contact the
committee/area representatives. For details of the contacts
to the secure
Administration Area is available to Charity Stewards on request.
In September 2008 the Province will launch the 2014 Festival. During the
festival period the main focus of charitable activity will be raising funds in
support of The Freemasons’ Grand Charity, however, other charities that have
been supported in the past will not be forgotten. Details of the 2014 Festival
may be found here.
