Annual Report For 2006

During the year ended 31st March 2006 there have been no major demands on the Charity and the balance of the fund has increased to nearly £106,000, thanks to the generosity of the brethren. However this figure still fell short of the total sum of £125,000 sought by the Trustees, and stated in the previous Annual Report relating to the year ended 31st March 2005. There were no donations made during the year 2005 – 2006.

The end of the year also saw changes in the running of the Charity. The end of the year saw the retirement of two Trustees including the Chairman, W.Bro Noel Grout. The President, R. W. Bro Michael Bailey, paid tribute to the contributions of all the Trustees over many years. The Secretary and the Treasurer also retired at end of the year and the President thanked both officers for all the work they had undertaken, again over many years.

The President went on to appoint W.Bros Brian Powell and Peter Rodd as new Trustees of the Association, and to appoint W. Bro Pat Thomas as the new Chairman. W. Bro Pat Flanagan was appointed the new Secretary of the Association, and W. Bro Keith Pavey was appointed the new Treasurer.

All of the officers were thanked for their efforts during the year, and particular mention was made of the dedication of W. Bro Barrie Harber who runs the office of the Association on a day-to-day basis.
