Some changes have taken place among the personnel responsible for the running of the EKPCA.
W. Bro Pat Flanagan has resigned as Secretary of the Association after three years hard graft.
During his term of office Pat oversaw the re-launch of the EKPCA and the move of its headquarters
from Maidstone to Whitstable. His dedication and commitment are very much appreciated by all the
Trustees of the Charity. W. Bro Pat Flanagan will be replaced as Secretary of the EKPCA by W. Bro
Lyndon Jones. Lyndon was previously Provincial Deputy Grand Secretary and will be well known to most
Members of the Province. W. Bro Jones has already taken up his new duties and may be contacted at
the EKPCA office at Whitstable. We wish him well in his new role.
W. Bro Keith Pavey has also resigned as Treasurer of the Association, again after three years of
hard graft. Within a short time of taking over as Treasurer Keith had to cope with the effects of
the "credit crunch" as well as involving himself in the re-launch of the EKPCA. His efforts,
particularly in the context of being able to offer a 5.5% interest rate to Members, are also very
much appreciated by the Trustees. W. Bro Pavey will be replaced by two new additions to the team.
W. Bro Bernard Bullivant takes over the role of Treasurer with the responsibility for ensuring the
smooth running of all the financial aspects of the EKPCA. W. Bro Nick Waller takes on a new role as
Deputy Treasurer with special responsibility for investment policy and execution. Bernard and Nick
will work very closely together and both have already taken up their new responsibilities. In these
difficult financial times both areas of responsibility are crucial and we wish both the new incumbents
every success. Both may be contacted at the EKPCA office at Whitstable.
Members making contact with the EKPCA at Whitstable will have noticed new voices dealing with their
enquiries. New teams of locally based volunteers took over the running of the EKPCA when it moved from
Maidstone to Whitstable. The Maidstone team visited Whitstable to support the new teams for a few weeks
after the move but the new volunteers proved to be quick learners and that arrangement has now ended.
The thanks of the Trustees must be extended to the Maidstone volunteers who have worked so hard over
the last few years to deal with the re-launch of the EKPCA and the move to Whitstable. Thanks must also
be extended to all the new volunteers who have made the move to Whitstable so successful.
